Can anyone advise me where I would need to go to find a shallow diverter for shower in a mobile home. I am trying to help a gal out, and it seems as if her diverter may be part of the reason she has low volume from her shower and bath outlet. The sink in the same bathroom has good volume, but the shower doesn't. She is on a well and I am also thinking along the lines of a sediment build up in the pipes... any advice will be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance...

A diverter, may not be the Right Diverter. I'm sure that its plastic, rather than brass combo. Knowing the brand name would help us... help you.

Can you provide a picture?

I guess the real question is what do you mean by a "shallow diverter"?

It is brass, at least the one in the storage area with the water heater. I am able to see the back side of one of the showers. The mobile home is a 1974 Far West, built in Yuba City, CA (out of business). As far as "shallow" I am wondering if there are diverters that are built for the walls of a mobile home that are not framed with 2x4 or 2x6 studs. I am concerned with a "standard" shower assembly sticking out too far into the tub. But I guess I can put on the valve covers and this may cover up the valves and it may not appear to be extending too far into the tub... Just trying to get my ducks lined up before I remove walls to tackle this project...

I'm sure the company that went out of business vendor'd the part from a supply chain. If you have any local mobile home/trailer supply stores, they will have what you need. Especially if you take the original part with you.
