Hi
I am trying to remove the current Delta 1500 series faucet and have noticed a white plastic piece in front of a hexagonal nut (see below).
I am wondering how to remove this plastic piece. I have removed the temperature control cover, handle screw and temperature control.
I tried prying it off or using a pair of pliers to try to pull it off, but it does not seem to be appropriate. The handle is still on and I cannot remove the handle with this on there.
If you had thoughts on how to remove this, that would be great.
Thanks
Dan

Your picture does not open. Is it something on your computer, rather than the Internet?

The handle should pull straight off but it looks to be pretty gunked up so it may fight you.

The white piece is in front of a nut which may be holding in the handle. Is there a way to remove this white piece before removing the handle?

You can UPGRADE the 1500 to a new 'pretty' 1700

None of my parts breakdowns show that white piece but without a screw in the center of it, there is nothing to hold it in place other than some corrosion. Pull hard while "wiggling" it.
