Can't find my brass stopper in bathtub drain
Author: Mississippidayz (MS)

My bathtub seem to not be draining as we over the last few weeks but now won't drain at all.. I pulled the wall plate and pulled the lever drain mechanism to snake all the pipes out and replace the drain but the brass stopper was missing when I pulled the linkage.. Figure it had just came off but when I tried to fish it out I couldn't get it. I have now pulled the panel off the wall behind tub and taken the overflow tube and everything else comepletly apart all the way to where the pipe goes into my slab and still can't find it?!?!?! How did it even get past the TEE to begin with?? It had a lip inside to keep this from happening...

it can't fall thru the overflow tee.
while it's open snake the pipe that goes into the floor.
put it back together and replace the strainer grid with a pop-up type drain.
