I recently piped a kick space heater on a mono flow system. Kick space would not turn on. I have a 1"x1/2" monoflow tee on supply side of kick space and a 1" x 1/2" tee on return. They are at least 18" apart. I know kick space work on temp an flow. Had plenty of heat however kick space still wasnt turning on . I piped a ball valve between two tees on 1" run forcing flow up through 1/2" lines and kick space turned on an worked good. However when i did this rest off baseboards down stream off 1" loop did not heat. i tried setting ball valve at half port so flow would be enough to trigger kick space an heat other base boards down the line on 1" loop. It ran for two days but kick space stopped working again. I noticed a B&G flow control valve on beginning of supply i bypassed valve by opening all the way but system wouldnt turn off just ran hot do to gravity heat. Any thoughts as to why kick space is not working?

A single monoflo tee should be on the return side, but just add another tee. Follow the directions for orientation of the tee's

yeah, a second monoflo tee should do the trick. one pushing and one pulling.
a trick i use for easy bleeding of air from kickspace heaters. on the 1/2 inch return side install a 1/2 inch full port ball valve that has a drain button on it. orient the drain button towards the heater and face it down. now when you fill the system you can use the drain button as a purge feature. just close that 1/2 inch valve, open the drain button and the water will push thru the heater and purge the air from it.

The ball valve you put in must be fully open, and it should be a full port valve. There is a lot of head created by the tees on the main loop, and adding restriction, of any kind, will just kill flow to the other emitters.
