Washing machine drain issue
Author: rls680 (AL) My washing machine drain backs up out of the drain line and dumps in the floor. I replaced the drain with new 2"pvc which runs @45' and dumps into the main line out to the septic tank. Could my back up issue be related to that length of line needing to be stepped up to a larger line to handle the volume over that distance. I have no other drain issues anywhere in my house.

Author: srloren (CA) I agree with Packy provided you have 2" standpipe, Trap, and Trap Arm. But just increasing the outlet pipe to 2" won't get the job done in many cases.
