The main copper pipe in my my basement has a little green corrosion right where it enters thru the hole of the cement foundation. I get some rain leakage thru that hole in the past so I know the pipe has been exposed to moisture.

I recently had the opening re-caulked but I didn't remove the green from the pipe.

Is the green I left going to cause any issues?

And in general, does that mean an underground copper pipe, exposed to moisture naturally is green for its entire length?

no it doesn't.. but if the copper is type K it will last a lifetime.

Is that portion of pipe going to break or corrode further?

wrap an old rap soaked in white vinegar for a couple of hours and remove. What do you see?
