I am doing a new construction and I am looking for a recommendation for a durable 1 piece shower with tub units that will last a long time and not crack/leak. Any suggestions? Right now I am looking at
Aker CM-60 fiberglass for around $420
Aker ACCTS-3360 acrylic for around $800
Delta 226032AL00 "Acrylic" around $500 (although I've heard that it might just be an acrylic layer over other material).
Any suggestions of different units or recommendations of things I should be avoiding?

the finish for fiberglass is sprayed on and scratches and dings must be professionally repaired.
the finish for acrylic goes right thru the whole thickness so dings and scratches can be buffed right out.
i would go with aker acrylic..

I'm not fond of the Delta unit at all.

We only install Aker. Acrylic is better, but 95% of the time we put in fiberglass. If you are willing to pay the difference, it's worth it. If not, you will have what almost everyone else has. I prefer the GB60 over the CM60

Thanks for the suggestions. I may go the route of buying a cast iron Kohler Villager tub and getting some cheap fiberglass matching surrounds that I can replace with tile at a later time. Does this sound like a good option?
