Hello!
I live in an old farm house with a septic tank and the toilet was just replaced maybe five months ago. Everything worked fine up until a week ago when the toilet started having problems flushing. It acted liked it was clogged. The bowl would fill with water but it wouldn't go down. Aggressive plunging did work in the beginning and we were able to force water down it but it's gotten considerably worse. The bowl will fill with water and no amount of plunging will make it go down. It seems that eventually water will drain on it's own but it takes hours. It's pretty much unusable now and we've had to exclusively use the guest bathroom. The septic tank was just pumped so I don't think that's the problem, but I know next to nothing about plumbing. Any advise would be greatly appreciated!
Thank you!

Your vagueness doesn't help us much to help you. Is it just the toilet or are the other drains opening slowly or blocked? What brand of toilet did you have and which brand did you change too?
If its just the toilet, the plunging you did, only pushed the blocking solids further into the waste line, to the septic tank.
When your septic tank was pumped was the toilet and tub flushed as well? Did someone check the inlet line for hanging solids? The the drain field allowed to back flow as well?
Have you considered having the waste line cleared with a sewer cable, from the toilet to the tank?
Best Wishes

Since the guest bath works fine, I'm assuming the problem to be related to that single toilet. I would use a high quality toilet auger in it first, there may be something hung in the trap.
