If a toilet won't flush by pouring a bucket of water in the bowl,is it definitely a sewer line clog. Not the innerds of the tank? |

IT is either the main line or the toilet itself. Either one could give the same symptoms and a bucket of water will not help to diagnose it. |

Yes, it would not have anything to do with the tank. You have a clog/blockage further down the line. Rent a sewer rodder and have a go at it.
