My tub spout is spraying all over the back of my tub when turned on. It's spraying from the faucet part. (Not the back of the spout where it connects to the wall) I've tried to clean the little bit of corrosion out and it didn't help. I just had my house water preasure checked and it's all good. What would be causing the water to spray backwards? Do I need a new spout? This is just a bathtub. I have my shower in another location. They are all Delta Monitor parts but I do not know what series.

your old tired poor spout is worn out and exhausted

bring it to any plumbing supply for a 'generic' replacement

or

sent pics to Delta for advice

i would change the spout or just don't turn it on full blast

I don't have the ability to not turn it on so fast. only have one knob to turn it on and change the temperature.

I would replace the spout with another Delta spout, there's enough copper there to sweat the brass adapter onto.
