 RV toilet - SharkBite valve
Author: phil2015 (TX)

I have a RV with a Dometic 310. Some times it will flush and sometimes it will not. The Company sent me a new water value and it worked for two days and then it started again. If we turn on the vanity or shower water it would start to work again. The company said we was not their toilet so I hired a plumber to cut and attach the water to the main water line. It worked great for a few hours and it started again not working sometime and sometimes not.
Today we moved to San Antonia, and I could not get any water to come into the toilet no matter if I turn on the vanity or shower, So I removed the water line that connected to the flush value and no water was present and no water while the Sharkbite shutoff valve was open. I then turn off the valve and turn it back on again and I had water. This is new valve I put on two days ago.

I guess my biggest question is " Have you every heard SharkBite valve not working in a close position?"

Thanks Phil2015

Every Sharkbite valve that I have dealt with has been 100% effective at stopping + allowing the water to flow. I think you have a restriction in your water system somewhere. I would disconnect the main and backflush the system.

i agree... 1/4 turn valve don't act like that. they either work or don't work. a valve with a washer in it can do funny things but a ball valve.. no...
