Either way should work, and if it leaks after you invert it, the take it off and retape the thread. |

I knew what you meant, but the recommendation is the same, however, I have NEVER wasted my time repairing a diverter spout. |

do you mean to say, just replace the whole beast or just start by removing it and re-taping? |

My time is too valuable to try repairing a diverter spout, and possibly have it fail again. I replace the whole thing and am done with it. |
