I have a standard tub with a shower built into the wall.
I want to add a handheld shower but I do not want to use a diverter valve near the shower head for cosmetic reasons.
I want to be able to divert the water from the tub to both the fixed showerhead on the wall, the handheld showerhead or both shower heads at the same time.
Is there a tub spout diverter that will do that?
thanks in advance,
jwc

I think American Standard makes an external add-on device that will do what you want but it is attached to the shower arm, not the spout.

All a tub spout diverter does is block the flow to the tub and force water up and out of the shower head.

I'd much rather have a diverter at the shower head than a mess down at the spout.

ALL external diverters change the water from one opening to the other, but NOT both at the same time.
