I am new on Plumbing. My house about 2500 sq.ft, single family. I am doing remodel Kitchen now. I have drain line questions.
The kitchen (Island) sink need run 14'-16' 1.5" PVC horizontal pipe line to 3" horizontal pipe, then 3" pipe need run about 5' to vertical 3" pipe this is open vent pipe on the roof. Should I need install AAV after p-trap?
Other question. On the wet bar. the sink need run 11' 1.5" pipe to 3" vertical pipe (open vent on the roof). Should I install AAV too?
Thank you all advice.

YEs, but I would NEVER use 1 1/2" pipes for drains that long.

Thank you all
So, Are you recommend 2" pipe? or bigger? The ending 3" pipe to public sewage.

IT is the only thing I would have used. 1 1/2" is too small and 3" is too big, "too big" being a bad thing for drain lines. WHere are the vents? Both sinks need them because of the types of lines you are connecting to.

That vent is "useless' as far as your new sinks are concerned.

he vent in the wall also should have a cleanout in case the horizontal vent portion were to get clogged. Most DIYers and many "plumbers" would prefer a $5.00 AAV and 10 minutes labor compared to the cost of doing the vent correctly.

But, then the reason plumbers are using PEX, aavs, and the IPC is because they want to do things the "easy" way and not have to think too hard.
