1 tub/shower will not get warm or hot
Author: Edward C (AZ)

Hello.

The tub/shower that's closest to the hot water heater gets hot.

The next tub/shower that's a little bit farther from the hot water heater will not get warm or hot at all. Therein lies the problem.

The farthest shower stall and tub from the hot water heater will get hot.

All other fixtures --- sink faucets, diswasher, washing machine, will get hot.

I replaced the Kohler GP77886 Mixer Cap for Coralais Pressure Balance Valve in the affected tub/shower and the water still doesn't get hot. I even reinstalled the original pressure balance valve and the problem still exists.

I'm obviously on this forum for advice and any advice is greatly appreciated. I live in Tucson, AZ and if you know of and recommend any plumbers in this city I will give them a call.

Thanks in advance for all replies.

Does the flow stop when you turn the handle all the way to the hot position? DOes the flow remain the same once the faucet is turn on, regardless of where you turn the handle?
