 bath - shower diverter gasket
Author: needhelpGA (GA)

I need some assistance tracking down a unique gasket/washer. I bought a relatively new house (built in 2000) with a claw foot tub that came with a mounted bath/shower combo. The hot/cold water lines work great, but the shower attachment leaks when the handle is positioned in the 'bath' setting. I searched all over to find a brand name stamped onto the handles, pipes, etc., but there is no brand name listed. I dismantled the diverter and tried unsuccessfully to find a replacement gasket at the local 'big box' home improvement stores. The gasket is in the shape of a half circle with a triagle cut out of the middle. The diameter of the half circle is 3/4" and the height of the half circle is 1/2". The gasket is held in place via a metal plate and screw (on the bottom of the half circle), and there are 2 small springs located under the gasket when it's screwed in place. I have been searching online for hours, but I haven't found any half-circle gaskets with a triangle punched out of the center. Any ideas or tips?
