Clogged toilet due to bar of soap.
Author: Luckijinks (WV)

Howdy friends. My 2 year old flushed a bar of soap down the toilet and it is really clogged. It wasn't but a couple of months ago that I got rid of the clog due to my 2 year old flushing a red potato down the toilet, (by the way, thanks for the help on that one). I went in the bathroom the other day and there he was flushing the toilet. I looked in and there was 3 brand new bars of soap. I found 4 empty soap boxes so 1 bar went down when he flushed. I got the other 3 out. Anyway, that thing is clogged up just as bad as it was when it had the tater stuck in it. It's been like 5 days and no improvement. I can't afford to hire a plumber at this time and all I have is a good plunger with the flange and a super cheap auger. You all saved me so much money helping with the potato incident lol. Any suggestions? As always thanks for your time.

One good thing about a bar of soap is that, in time, it will dissolve and your issue will resolve itself. In the meantime a good closet auger should be consider vs a plunger. Plungers compress and can cause more issues than it resolves. The terrible Two's will pass and Three year old hopefully learn not to toss objects down the only toilet in the house.

Best Wishes

Stuff a flexible wet/dry vac hose(first remove any rigid parts from the hose) into the toilet drain, and it should grab onto the bar of soap.

Drain out the water from the toilet (maybe with baloon pump if needed be) pour the bottle of coke down, leave it overnight, flush it out next morning.

I was thinking white vinegar after you siphon as much water out as you can. Heat the vinerar up to about 100 degrees and let it set for three or four hours. Then siphon it out nad repeat the warm white vinegar until the soap melts.
