 Looking for this tank tee
Author: plumber_guy (CA)

Does anyone know where I can purchase online the tank tee in this pic? If you have a link or contact information that would be great. I couldn't find them at any of the hardware or plumbing supply houses in my area. The tank tee is screwed onto the cold water inlet of the water heater with a vacuum relief valve screwed onto the top female end of the tank tee. Also another question to anyone that knows, do you think a watts vacuum relief valve (shown in the pic) is great to have in a gas water heater? here are the links to the pic of the tank tee:

A ¾ x ½ x ¾ brass tee(all ports threaded) is available, but kind of costly. Why not use 3/4 brass tee with a ¾ x ½ bushing on top for the vac valve?

Packy, remember the days when we complained about that tee costing $4.50?

I htink that is about the "roughest" brass I have ever seen on a finished fitting.

m&m, well at least it is no-lead so that justifies the doubling of our cost.
after all, what is a few extra thousand dollars if we will all be healthier and live to be 144 years old.

Yeah, functionally we'll be 'dead' at the allotted "three score and ten", but refuse to 'die' for another 70 yrs.
