Hello,
I'm designing a shower that has a wall mount shower head, a separate handheld shower, a ceiling mounted rain shower head, and possible a few body jets. I am not simply buying an all in one package, but rather piecing it together in order to get exactly what I want for each part.
My question is, what kind of valve/rough in box/controls would be needed to be able to control these parts and pieces separately and at times together?
I'm especially unclear about what kind of in-wall valve I need to bring the water into in order to split it between the different shower components. Any insight will help, thanks!

you want a thermostatic shower valve that you set to 109 and leave alone. then you want volume controls to each device you want to use individually or together.
grohe make nice valves and trim..
look at the grohe freehander. its a nice item
acts as a shower or body sprays.

Thanks for the advice, that Freehander shower head looks like a great idea. Any suggestion on the model of temperature valve?

i like the quality of grohe. a little pricey but awfully good quality.
you will need some volume controls depending on how many outlets you want.
stay with the same manufacturer so all the trim matches.
when you know what you want for shower head/s and body spray (freehander maybe) then you canfigure your gallons per minute and from that you can choose 1/2 inch or 3/4 feeds and valve.
