Can someone explain the differences between an Waste King EZ-Mount and 3-Bold Mount disposer? Why you prefer one over the other? TIA

I know that ISE has stainless mouth. Are you saying that the competition has a pot metal nut? It has been a long time since I installed anything other than ISE. I read where they are now junk. What is your take?

it's hard to tell anymore what is junk and what isn't. ISE has a good guarantee and they are easy to change if need be. i don't get the impression that they are junk..

I agree with you but the article I read stated the Waste King had better material (more stainless where it counted). They said the metel inside the Garbage disposal would rust out quicker. Maybe that is why Waste King has a 2 year guarantee and ISE only has 1 year on the Badger. It has been a over 25 years since I installed a Waste King or their Whirl Away, the tiny disposer they made.

ise
5 - junk
evolution (incl compact) - very good
both mounts at sink same
unit = galvanized 'guts' vs s/s

I always preferred the ISE 333-SS. The Badger is pot metal junk.

now called 'evolution compact'
I, personally, have a 333 under my sink for 9+ years

I don't know all the particulars, but I have installed several Badgers over the years and they are junk, they get jammed all the time and they don't chew up harder items very well. I have now installed two waste Kings and they are terrific! they will eat anything and I have yet to jam one of them up. By far a better product in my novice opinion.
