 Help with Delta Shower Faucet!
Author: kaylasoulsby (SC)

I discovered I had a leak in my shower faucet. It's a delta. Has a handle of hot. Has a handle for cold. And a handle for the shower.

I replaced the valve stem and the valve seat and spring on hot and cold water.

The cold water seems to be fine, but the hot water still leaks. It'll be fine for a couple of turns and then it just does a continuous leak rather than the drip that was there.

When installing the valve seat, the rubber piece will not sit flush. It pokes out a little bit. I'm not sure if that is the issue or if it's something else causing the leak to still be there.

Any help in tihs matter would be greatly appreciated!! Thank you!!!!

the rubber is supposed to stick up a little bit. press your finger on the rubber to make sure the spring under it pushed the rubber back at you. there really isn't much you can do wrong to those. pretty simple design..

Be sure to use genuine Delta parts, those Danco parts are not as good as Delta.
