Hi Everyody. I have a leaking, high-pitched noise making, Grohe kitchen faucet.
Model number is A112.18.1M (I'm curious as I see this same number also affiliated with other manufacturers.*)
Serial number is 99071
The faucet is probably 14 years old, and I don't think it's produced by Grohe any longer. It is similar to the present Alira model, with swiveling spout and dual spray pull-out.
In trying to replace the cartridge or whatever the guts of this thing are, as in the picture I removed the handle, decorative cap, and black rubber washer. There is the brass-colored piece still in place, which I think goes through the countertop and has the securing nut screwed onto its bottom. I'm left with the white plastic parts inside the brass. I'd expect a couple screws here, holding the internals in place, but I can't see any. If there are clips that need to be pulled out, I haven't found the way to do it. The curved pieces don't move under a moderately strong pull with needle-nose pliers.
Does anybody have experience with this disassembly, and could you point me in the right direction?
Thank you for any help.
*EDIT: I now see that the A112.18.1M refers to a standard, not a manufacturer's designation, thus it could be common to any number of manufacturers.

I am not familiar with this valve but the nut shown is what I believe holds the Valve body in place. See if there are slots inside that a special spanner wrench would fit to remove only the cartridge. If I am wrong I am sure the experts here will correct me.
