 exterior faucet

I had a deck put on the house and the faucet would have been in the deck. So I hired a plumber to move it up.

He came and put a 90 deg fitting and was going to run the copper pipe just under the cedar shakes (on the face of the ledger board). I objected and insisted on him running plastic line thru the sill plate.

There is a drain for the line.

His boss then argued with me that it was fine and to code.

I am not sure how he planned on putting on a nailer plate but this just seems to me to be poor workmanship, a copper line under a cedar shake in the north east. my way I had insulation between pipe and wall and PEX rather then copper.

His argument was he was the master plumber.

Am I too picky ?

he's just making an excuse so he doesn't have to change his work to comply with your wishes.

He should have been able to run the copper line EXACTLY how the plastic line was.
