My parents home was built in 1989 in Mokena Illinois. The original pipe was from inside the house 4" SCH 40 to CAST thru the wall then transitioned to 6" to the public sewer system. The cast pipe sheered off from the house and i'm going to replace it for them. I was told i was no longer needed to use cast pipe. WOuld i use SCH 40 well casing pipe or SDR 35 4" pipe to sleeve thru the wall?
Thank you for your help

pretty much any pipe larger than 4 inch PVC is fine for the sleeve.

If you have 4" pipe through the wall, you can't use ANY 4" pipe for the sleeve.

1 pipe size larger is all that is required for sleeve, check with your inspector as some of them still demand cast iron for sleeve.
