Need a Tub Drain fix that wont break the bank
Author: nchotelgal (NC)

I manage a hotel and we are missing brass inserts from some of our moen tub drains. Rather than purchasing the $90 push and lock trim kit, does anyone know if there is anywhere we can purchase the brass inserts only? Moen does not have them for purchase.

Remove one of the remaining brass inserts and take it with you to a plumbing supply or hardware store, they may be able to match it.

Yea I agree w north carolina, but if you are talking about the brass cylindrical plunger at the base of the trip lever linkage then I think you are SOL, unless it matches up to a relatively inexpensive pvc trip waste assy. Like gerber, then you can just buy the entire assy. And toss everything but the plunger, it may be worthwhile to just buy one and test it. The pvc gerber should be under $20 and at quantity you should even be able to to get closer to $15. You may get lucky.

What does the insert LOOK LIKE? Watco and many other companies sell inexpensive push/pull replacements
