I have this foreclosure property that I have been rehabbing part time, going slow but making progress.
So I need to get rid of this monster shower spa.
What a pity. This thing was expensive too, got all kinds of stuff, steam bath, water jet tub, body spray, waterfall tub spout, rain shower, hand shower, soap dispensers, some aromatic fragrant dispenser, radio, CD player. all kinds of gadgets - ALL LOW QUALITY MADE IN CHINA CRAP.
Need to get rid of it. May be give it to Habitat of Humanity.
So I need to "prep" it to see what works and what doesn't.
I just realize (found out the hard way) that there is no way I can test the body sprays, rain shower, hand shower, tub, steam without thoroughly getting soaked one way or another...what a mess.
However, there is a leak when I changed the 5 way diverter to body spray mode.
So I went to the back side of this monster, and here is the diverter. No leak there.
There is a hose that runs to the series of body sprays. This is the back side of the body sprays, and when I turn it to body spray, the front sprays are very weak, while the back side is spraying water. I will need to test them again to be sure. But what I wanted to find out is the connector they are using,
What kimd of connectors are these?
My thinking is that's where the leaks are.
What an expensive piece of garbage, and people buy them. the bottom of the tub is a FLEX HOSE drain.

those are just pinch connectors, the two ends were designed to just be pinched together to form a watertight connection for very low or no pressure conditions, a mini flatblade screwdriver will pop that apart, and yes that is a good chance that your leak is there.

Here is a link to the nylon hose clamps
[wedo.hillmangroup.com]-?
I have an assortment of those clamps and they are good for temporary connections, for example, when you pressure test an assembly.

A customer had an identical one of these and had installed it up to the point where he needed help, so he asks me to finish the installation. After looking it over and assessing it as total junk, I told him I'd get back to him.

If you wanted to replace the connectors, go to an auto parts store and get stainless steel fuel line clamps. They are hose clamps, but they distribute the force more evenly and may save you from a complete replacement of the bathroom.

KCRoto, I don't want to use this thing. It's just the last owner bought it and it takes up half the bathroom. I want to get rid of it so I can demo the walls and plan a traditional bathroom. So I want to get it in working order, then take it apart and donate it to H4H instead of giving them something that's leaking. I'll probably buy like a dozen little hose clamps and replace them.
