Hi
My husband bought a new kohler toilet and installed it last night before we went to bed.
In using the toilet today, upon flushing the toilet, it sprays water out of the toilet
and up on the wall......has anyone heard of this happening? Any suggestions on fixing it or returning. My husband would rather not return. ?..
thank you

I am thinking the refill tube isn't attached to the overflow properly just at a guess

if its the refill tube it would just make a mess inside the tank not shooting water out of the bowl right?

There is something going on inside the tank that needs to be fixed, probably as KC recommends. Reminds me of the Curb episode: "Bare Midriff".

Is this a bidet/toilet?

I would find it unlikely that gravity fed water from the tank could spray anything, it sounds like a pressurized spray from the tank, not the bowl.

What model of Kohler toilet did he install? Floor mount or wall mount? Is it a pressurized water in the tank type toilet? More specifics are in order.

It does sound like one with the integrated bidet but that should be a different control - not tied into the flushing.
Reminds me of the time I was working overseas and picked up a new coworker at the airport to bring him to the hotel. He was checking out the 5* hotel bathroom, saw the bidet (not toilet integrated, the vertical shot version too not the front firing one), anyway leans forward over it literally said "what is this" as he reached for the control, and as I shouted "no" this kid turned it on it fired straight up and hit him in the face. It was really some funny stuff.
