Hello. My husband just replaced both the top and bottom elements in the tank. We left the power off filled the tank made sure there was no air in iT before he turn the power Back on. Whith in 30 mins the water was hot! But after washing a load of clothes we have NO hot water. Any ideas of what has gone wrong? Please help. We've been with out for a month and we didn't even get to get a hot shower before it quit working.:x

First, check the breaker. Second, check the reset on the upper thermostat. Shut off the power and double check all the connections, because sometimes while tightening the screws down on the wires, you can push them out where they don't make a good connection any more. If you still don't have hot water after restoring power, it is either the upper thermostat or the upper element that isn't working. If the water isn't hot inside the heater at all, the heater is calling for power to the upper element first; if it isn't heating, it is either a bad connection, a bad element, or the thermostat isn't switching from element to element anymore.

Make sure the dip tube is intact.
Verify that the cold is connected to COLD and hot is connected to HOT.
