Broken overflow tube on Case toilet
Author: legion181 (NY)

I was replacing the handle on a Case G28 and the overflow tube broke off. There are no groves on the flush valve to install a new one, so I entire piece must be replaced. I cannot find where to buy the piece or figure out how to remove the current valve from the toilet. I greatly dislike the one piece design of the toilet but I'm cash strapped and would prefer not to replace it at this time. Please advise as I have been unable to find any additional assistance on this issue. Thank you.

there are threads in the flush valve. the end of the overflow tube is still inside. a very small flat screwdriver will usually pick out the broken piece. tap gently with a small hammer, easy does it.

If that fails, replace the Case Toilet with a modern low flush toilet that works. I replaced a one piece 2 days ago and my back is still hurting from lifting it, but get rid of it if you can. Good luck.
