I've been browsing a few threads on this site and noticed folks saying to stay away from big box stores for pluming materials. That noted, what are few good options for plumbing supplies, especially when looking for Type K or L tubing? Same goes for valves. I've heard from multiple sources that a ball valve is "forever", but I'm sure a cheaply made one will not quite make it.
So, what other local sources are out there? Perhaps online (although for tubing, I don't see how that would work well). I'm looking to do a small indoor project (replumbing a half bath), so I unfortunately won't be buying in bulk. Any suggestions?
Thanks!

NOTHING is "forever". I have had premium ball valves fail and also "cheapies".

In 40+ years I have NEVER had an 'Apollo' or 'Nibco' valve fail.
Referring to the top of the line bronze.
Require repacking or washer yes, fail no.
