I have home that has a 3/4" IPS galvanized stub out extending 4" from the finished wall and I need to replace the tub spout. I have ordered and purchased every "universal" spout I could find and none fit. Does anyone have recommendations for a product that will work?
Finish: Chrome
with Diverter
The tub enclosure is a fiberglass one piece and I can't access the pipe in the wall. So I need to find a way to trim the existing stub out.

Every tub spout I have seen has been 1/2", are you measuring the internal diameter of the pipe or the outside diameter?

Most universal spouts are designed for copper. You may have 3/4" but I'm guessing it's 1/2".

the outside measurement is 3/4" for sure, its definately not copper. I tried a 1/2" spout and it won't fit over the pipe, so I am sure it is not 1/2"

A 3/4" galvanized nipple is over 1" o.d.
A 1/2" galvanized nipple is over 3/4" o.d.
