 bathroom faucet failure
Author: dcmchicago (IL)

Bathroom faucet cuts off entirely after barely turning it on (both hot and cold). I suspected a valve problem and replaced the entire valve assembly for both hot and cold. I still have the same problem. What might be the cause? The faucet is only a few years old.

debris inside somewhere ?? turn off the water, remove one stem assembly, remove the aerator, cover the opening where the stem was, turn on the water to the side that is not taken apart, block the spout and open the handle still on the faucet. hopefully if there is debris in there this will blow it out.

Thanks for the suggestion. The flat rubber washer in the tee connector had partially disintegrated and was blocking flow to the spout. After spending about $100, the cost of the needed fix was $0.49. I should have come here first.
