I had a plumber make a repair on my drains. Big 4" pipe that was primed and glued. I noticed on all the joints you can clearly see the bead of glue surrounding the pipe and the fitting.
There is one joint however that I see a miniscule gap on that bead. You can see the bead of glue on the outside of the joint expect for like a 1" spot where it looks as if it wasn't glued.
Obviously there is glue there but it didn't push itself out of the joint. It is not damp or leaking as far as I can tell.
Should I be concerned that this portion is now a weak spot?
On a 4" DWV fitting, how thick/inches is the hub surface area where the glue is applied? Very thick I suppose?

The real connection is made in the deepest 1/2 of the socket. Just because glue didn't squish out doesn't indicate that the joint will fail. Don't worry about it.
