 Toilet and sink clogged
Author: Olivia (Non-US)

So for a few months now our upstairs sink and toilet have been clogged... It's a long story so I'll explain.
It first started when I was dumb enough to flush a bunch of toilet paper down the toilet. Then I tried to unclog it and got all the water out of the bowl etc. it was still clogged though. A few weeks later I was taking a shower and had to go number 2... I thought maybe someone fixed it because it looked fixed, but when I tried to flush it it didnt flush. I was stupid so I just left it for someone to find out. My dad tried to use a snake but it didnt work and now it clogged our sink. I feel really bad because it was my fault. Do we need to get a plumer or what? We let all the water go down the drain and now its all dry but the water tank is empty. Can someone help PLEASEEEE!!!!!!

Please explain in more detail the last sentence of your post. Do you mean that the toilet bowl is empty? If so you have a stoppage and it needs to be snaked out by someone with the ability to determine where the stoppage is. If your sink (lavatory, if that is what you mean) is downstream of the toilet, when you run water in that sink, it should raise the water level in the bowl because the overflow level of the bowl is lower than the sinks overflow level. So please carefully reword your question and give more details so we can help you.

You need a licensed plumber. Someone who knows what they are doing. They are licensed, insured and bonded. You have done your best and now require professional intervention.

In the end, you will have both peace of mind and a toilet system that will work as designed.
Best Wishes

Your best bet is a strong stomach, rubber dishwashing gloves and a wire clothes hanger. Remove the toilet and set it into the bathtub on some newspaper or cardboard. Fill a 5 gallon bucket with water and pour it into the toilet bowl and make sure the toilet itself is clear. It should wash out into the tub. Use a flashlight to see down the stool hub and see if it is full of tp. Pull out what you can and throw it away, then put 3-4 gallons in the 5 gallon bucket and start pouring it down the stool hub in a steady heavy stream, stopping if it fills up. You can then use the clothes hanger and start picking/pulling at any residual debris until the water suddenly washes down the drain. I would then run the lavatory and dump a couple more buckets down the drain before resetting the toilet.

I suspect that you have a lead bend under the stool and the lavatory line ties into it similar to this:

.
If this is what you have, the mass of blockage may be within reach, but not without pulling the toilet.

I think plunger is a good tool to fix drain clogging problem. If your problem is still unsolved, then I would recommend you to call professional drainage services to fix the issue.
