i've run a 1/4 by 25 foot plastic tubing for refrigerator with no problem. i would use copper for that long a run. it has a larger inside diameter.

Try to find a 50' roll of 1/4" L copper. I would use 3/8" any way for the length.

OK, I have 2 - 50' rolls of 1/4" copper refrigeration tubing. No where on the box does it say a type. Do you think it will work?

it will work just fine..
do not use one of those 'saddle' valves for the tie in.
get one of these. it is 1/2 copper tubing size sharkbite on the run and the branch is 1/4 inch sharkbite with an integral shut off.
