My contractor just installed a claw foot tub with shower enclosure and can't get the shower stem to not leak. It only came with an o ring to hold the stem in place. Anyone have any ideas? I found some people had the same problem in the product reviews but no one said how they fixed it. Thanks!

since we do not know the make or model of the valve or why it is leaking, there is no way we can give you a solution.

It's a Randoplh Morris shower enclosure. The part that leaks is where the shower stem tubes attach together. They only attach with a coupling connector. The contractor taped it but it didn't help. In the reviews other people had the same problem but no one stated how they fixed it but that once fixed they love the fixture.

The "coupling connection" SHOULD be a screwed joint, and if so ANY pipe thread sealant should make a good connecton.
