Today I lowered the water pressure in my house by adjusting the water PRV. I was using a water pressure gauge and changed it to 44 psi to 36 psi.
Now shortly after the water is used I hear a dripping sound. It sounds to be around the area near the PVR. There is no dripping sound when water is being used though. Can someone please advise me on is happening?

If you aren't finding a leak somewhere, it is most likely thermal expansion/contraction of the pipe in the ambient air.

I have never heard of any one adjusting their pressure down to 36 psi. At that rate the water should driibble out of the showers. Any "dripping" sound should have nothing to do with you adjusting the pressure.

What happened was 2 to 3 months ago we had the PRV replaced. However the water pressure he set was higher than what we normally had. I do realized 36 psi was indeed lower than what I wanted and changed it to 40 psi.
Thanks for both responses guys. I keep a lookout for any leakings.
