I'm remodeling my basement and I definitely need some help. I've been trying to get everything mapped out and I have a feeling it isn't right. The wall on the right will be staying but the one other one will be moving to where it is pictured on my plans. The red color is for plumbing and the green is for venting. Right now I have 4" Cast as my main that runs to my upstairs bathroom. As you can see in the pictures, my cast iron pipe just fell apart while I was hammering out the basement. I put in a temporary piece of PVC until I get the rest of the plumbing done. The rest of the rigging seen was done by the previous owner.
I'm looking for advice on what fittings to use where and whether I should be doing any of my runs differently. The shower vent is one thing I forsee needing changed. I'm planning on moving the stack directly below the upstairs toilet. Currently there is only one vent. It runs off the stack and it goes up through the roof. I'll be doing a lower ceiling to make room for my vents.
If I have to call a plumber then I will. I would prefer not to because of the expense though.
