I have an outside faucet that originally supplied hot and cold water to our back patio. It has a turn style handle ( turn to red for hot, turn to blue for cold). This spring it is only running hot regardless of how it is turned. It runs VERY hot and not at all able to use it to water flowers and plants. One thing to mention is that we had a frozen gutter fall this winter in the area where this spicket is located. Im not sure that it got hit or not but possibly?

It is probably a Moen exterior faucet. I suggest calling them for parts. 800-BUY-MOEN. You have checked that both service valves inside are open?

Truthfully, I was only aware of one valve inside the basement. This faucet was installed by an old boyfriend who didnt leave instructions when he flew the coop...
I do have the one valve open that I am aware of.
Thank you so much for your reply!

The faucet has two connections to it, hot and cold. You should locate them and trace them back to their source. In doing so, look for a service valve in the cold line that may be shut off.

Yep, things work much better when they are plugged in or turned on
Had a few D'OH moments myself over the years.
