I recently replaced all of the "guts" in my Case 3000 toilet. With no instructions and minimal information online I learned quite a bit in making adjustments to get this back up and running. The only thing that I can't seem to figure out is how to get the flush lever adjusted properly. The handle won't stay down causing you to have to hold it down until the bowl completely empties. I would guess that the adjustment is with the link that attaches through the trip lever. It doesn't seem to offer any resistance. Any help would be appreciated.

I have never even seen that particular toilet but I found a picture. Is this what you have?

the ball in the center floats when you push the handle down. that is what is supposed to happen.
all i can suggest is to change that ball.
they do make a different style ball which might work better.
also, although you might have trouble finding one, they do make shorter lift wires.

Is that a Case or a Briggs toilet? And, is it a wall hung bowl? That trip lever does not look like the Case units I am used to.

It sounds like the rod is too long and not lifting the ball high enough, but I have never worked on one before

There are no adjustments with that setup, because all the parts are a specific size and they connect together only one way.
