Hello:
My kitchen sink drains into lift pump, which pumps the grey water to sewer line. System worked fine for 2-3 months. But now water is not draining as rapidly as it was. I am cleaning the pump filter regularly- so filter is not clogged either. Pump is vent outside as well. I am at loss on the on the potential reasons...any thoughts will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Where is the pump located in relationship to the sink drain? Chances are that your flow is restricted before it ever gets to the pump at all.

Thanks. Sink is connected to trap. And trap is connected to pump with two feet pipe. So it is nearly two feet away from the sink. Sorry for the crude description.
Based on your reply, I have two questions please
1. Is it possible that pumping system, the pump which is contained in airtight cylindrical container, has been choked up by the debris from the kitchen sink.
2. Assuming that, kitchen sink trap is choke, is it safe to use some liquid drain opener, given that it is connect to the pump?
Thnaks

i have installed many of those type pumps and have never used a filter system??
try without the filter.
i would not use liquid drain chemicals.
pumps do not usually pump slower because they are partially clogged. they either pump or don't pump.
lastly, there may be a problem with the check valve causing the pump to work harder and slower.
