 Water Leak, Drain Leak? Leak?
Author: Gibson, S (TX)

We have had issues with our drain in our washroom for sometime. It gets a clog and tends to backup, flooding my wash room. My husband snaked the line from inside and that did not get rid of the clog, the drain was still backing up. Since this has happened, I have had other issues with my washer and it has not been used for a week now. Since my husband snaked the drain and tested the machine, there is water leaking into my garage under the wall. (Not a lot, but enough that i have noticed) I am not sure where the water is coming from. The wall of our garage that has the water is the same wall that houses the washroom drain, but as mentioned before, has not been used for a week. Is it possible that the roof vent is clogged and causing this issue? I am sorry that this not more descriptive. I could really use some insight or advice. Crazy wife here!

You should get a professional drain cleaner out to assess the situation and clean the offending drain. This could be a main sewer line blockage, or just a branch line, but without more information, we can't give any better advice. An on-site assessment is the most effective way to clearly diagnose the problem.
