Thanks for your help. I hope someone can tell me the manufacturer of my water pressure regulator. I haven't seen any that look like it. It was installed in 2000.
My water pressure recently increased to 80lb/sq inch. I worry about my 15yr old water heater taking the pressure. Also, when turning the regulator screw, some water is released (not good.)
I am including a picture that shows a regulator with a square base, held with a screw at each corner. There is info on top of the screw, as well as some partially obscured info on the tag.

If your heater cannot hold under 80 psi, regardless of how old it is, then it is due to be replace anyway. The make of the regulator is immaterial, since it should be replace if it is not working properly. THere should be NO water coming out around the screw.

Maybe cash acme. If your pressure is 80 psi before the prv you don't need a prv. 80 is the max allowed
