I have a jacuzzi 1.6 that keeps "hissing", gasket in flapper seems fine. I adjusted the floater on the fill valve to stop on the overfill line and it does just that, makes the normal toilet stopping sound, then you just hear a constant hissing as the water in the tank keeps filling. Within 20 seconds it's running into the overflow tube. The floater seems to be operating fine, is it something in there I don't know about?
Thanks, looking forward to me being able to figure this out, it's been a week and don't even want to see the water bill...
Update
Took the fill valve out and cleaned the gasket/seal, didn't work. So now its personal...made a late night trip to Wallyworld, bought the Korky replacement and viola!!
Thanks for your help

maybe there is something about jacuzzi toilets that i don't know about but a leaking flapper will lower the water level not raise it.

I agree, the flapper problem would lower the water level, there is no water leaking into the bowl. I'm assuming I need to disconnect the fill valve to get at the washer? Is it on the bottom of the device?
