Hi all, my shower is leaking, inconsistently, to the room below and behind the wall where water lines are. It is a fiberglass shower pan with 3 tiled walls and a framed glass sliding glass door. I have done several tests to locate leak, tested shower pan, capped shower to check for leak in supply lines, sprayed water from outside source on all three walls. Everything seems fine but when someone is actually in there it does leak, sometimes not all of the time. After careful inspection in the hole in my ceiling the water is coming about a foot from the shower drain and nowhere near any water lines. I am just a stay at home handymom so not sure of all the proper plumbing terms but hope I've discribed this okay. I cannot figure out where the water is coming from, any suggestions? I was wondering if there are weep holes in the drain that may be clogged and could cause this and if there are weep holes I don't see them or know where they are. Thanks in advance.

I did. The leaks seems to be between two boards nowhere near drain or water supply lines.

It is possible that the base is cracked and the crack is opening up with the weight of a person standing on it.

The most common place for leaks for showers that only leak when someone is inside are on the front wall at the shower valve trim, and cracks in the floor. Any other location you can aim the shower head at and usually see the leak.
