I purchased a shower kit from China (bad move). I have installed the shower body (mixing valve) too deep inside of the wall, and now the brass stems do not reach the square, control knobs. I have already tiled my Bathroom walls and do not want to rip everything apart. I have tried numerous, local plumbin supplies, with no luck. Grohe was the closest I came to located a compatible shower stem, but they were one size too small. Unfortunately, I have no product numbers or information. Are there any experts out there who have any suggestions on how I can make this work? Thank You

Open the wall from the back side and either replace the valve, or reposition it.

when this happens, we usually contact the manufacturer and get a "deep wall extension kit".
in your case, you can't because you don't know who to contact...
try here, you may find something that will give you a clue on who to contact. you'll need to remove the stem and match it up..

Did you buy it from China or was it just made there? Contact whoever you purchased it from to get a manufacturer's name and then check for a model number and contact information. Unfortunately, since that is an all plastic part, there may not be an extension kit for it. AND, because it is unique, there are probably no other units that will fit it.

The Chinese were no help to me at ALL. This is exactly why Americans should buy American, perfect example. This unit was cheap and looked great on line, however, it was delivered without all the parts and NO installation instructions.
PACKY, I went to Alfano Plumbingin Queens, NY, since you sent me the PDF and I saw what I was looking forward (I happened to be in Manhatan today). YOU SAVED ME! I had previously gone to 7 different plumbing supplies throughout NY and NJ, with NO luck, and Alfano Plumbing had exactly what I needed, amazing. Packy, you saved the day, God Bless and Enjoy your weekend! THANK YOU!!
