 Estimate for installing Acid Neutralizer
Author: omnipresent (VA)

I am in the Northern Virginia area and I'm on well & septic. I moved into the house and knew the acid neutralizer was not working. I've checked the PH level and its around 5 (should be 7). So far I've gotten one estimate to replace the old non-functioning acid neutralizer with a new one.

Also, what are some good quality acid neutralizers?

I would talk to your neighbors. If they have the same problem, they may be able to recommend a system, plumber, and know what problems you may be walking in to.

True. With a PH level of 5.5 or lower there are other methods to be considered such as a chemical metering pump to feed a liquid solution of soda ash or sodium hydroxide into the water system. It would be best to contact a local water treatment company for this type of system. Many companies will not sell these larger systems direct due to liability potential (and keeping our customer satisfaction)
