I had 2 of these installed several months ago but continue to have flow problems despite numerous plumber visits and taking the drastic step of replacing the older shut-off valves with new. The unit seems to be unable to prevent debris from clogging up the interior screen/cartridge and I am receiving no cooperation from either the installation plumber or manufacturer representative. Any thoughts on how I might solve this permanently would be appreciated. I am NOT a plumber and would be pleased to fix it myself but even removing the faucet cap to access the screen/cartridge (it's a European model) has proved challenging. Might need a set of metric hex. wrenches and/or tamper resistant bits but would like to hear from ya'all first.
Many thanks

NO FAUCET is able to prevent debris from clogging the aerator, and if debris IS the problem, it is NOT the installing plumber's problem, nor the manufacturer.

You may need to consider adding a whole house filter to remove particulates from entering; it won't help what is there already, but it can slow the problem.

Thank you.
It is interesting to note that with our original faucets, this problem did not occur during the 20 years they were in use. So, perhaps it's not debris after all and possibly some piece of interior pipe lining or gasket which has crystallised, broken off and found its way up to the aerator as a result of work done on the shut-off valves.

remove the aerator
flush out the faucet thoroughly
flush again
once more
use faucet for a few days w/o aerator
replace aerator
good luck

Many thanks. I'll try that. Can you suggest what wrenches....to use to open up the top of the faucet please so that I can access the aerator? It's a European model and I'm not sure if I need a hex. wrench in metric, tamper resistant bits.....Opening it is the present challenge. I've tried a variety of imperial sets without success. Sounds like plumbing 101 but that's where I'm at with this pest!
Many thanks.
