When our master bath was built Moen 2520 valves were installed for the single-handle shower controls. We are in the midst of an upgrade to a walk in tub. It came with Delta fixtures. We decided to upgrade the shower as well with matching Delta fixtures. No problem with the fixtures but according to Delta's website the only two valves that will work with the fixtures are either a R10000-UNBX or R10000-UNWS. Of course, the current valves are behind a tiled wall which we are not wanting to tear out to replace the valves since the tile is not longer manufactured and I've already cleaned enough tiles to last a lifetime. Can I use the existing valves with the Delta fixtures? Is there such a thing as an adapter to make the fit? Thanks for any advice. PS: If Delta ONLY works with their valves, we'll go with Moen products that are the closest match.

Delta and some companies can interchange sometimes, but Moen doesn't interchange with any other company that I am aware of. Do you have access through the back side of the valve?

Your only two choices are either using Moen, or a (Price) Pfister "universal trim kit" that adapts to the Moen valve.

Thanks to KCRoto (MO) and hj (AZ) for your thoughts. Unfortunately there is no access from the backside to change out the value. I'll research the (Price) Pfister "universal trim kit" and see if that will fit the bill. If not, like I said, I'll just go with Moen fixtures. Thanks again for your replies.
