I have quite the quandry. I can only get hot water in my shower if sink in same bathroom is running in hot position. I only get hot water from kitchen sink if another faucet is running. All faucets are Moen single handle. I have replaced all cartridges and problem persists. Hot water heater has been replaced and is piped correctly. Thoughts?

Do you have a tankless water heater or a recirculation system?

Standard tank system, no re circulator. I did test my piping to the water heater, by switching them, and the problem persists. ( did not drain the tank to test) shut off hot (?) water coming from tank and ran faucets only on hot and had plenty of pressure, but the water was cold unless another faucet was on. This happened both ways with feeds into and out of wh. Now I am really confused. Please help

The faucet that you run to get the kitchen sink hot, does it get hot water as normal?

And WHO determined that it is installed correctly, because your symptoms may indicate that it is NOT? IF you shut off the water going into the heater and the hot water faucets still have "good" pressure, but it is cold, then you STILL have a faucet, or something, that is bypassing, but we cannot tell you where it is without being there
